YOUlead the way

The idea, setup, selling, and explaining are yours to lead.

Adults can cheer you on and support from a distance. Parents and nannies cannot run the stand for you.

What makes a great idea?

We’re looking for innovative, creative, and diverse concepts, so the market offers different things to discover.

  • Something you can manage yourself.
  • Room for creativity, problem-solving, and confidence.
  • For a Hag Al Leila-themed edition: heritage, community, sharing, and joy.
  • Respect for the historic venue and oasis.

02 / Find your idea

Start with a spark.

Use these ideas to brainstorm. Your own original thinking is welcome.

  • Art and craft stations.
  • Bracelet making, lantern decorating, clay, and painting.
  • Mini workshops.
  • Face painting inspired by Hag Al Leila motifs.

  • A storytelling corner.
  • Mini performances.
  • Interactive games designed and run by kids.

  • Greenhouse ideas.

03 / Market rules

A happy market starts with care.

Look after the place, your visitors, and each other.

Keep it clean.

  • Clean hands.
  • Gloves where needed.
  • Covered food.
  • A clean workspace.

Food concepts that will be rejected

  • Ultra-processed or unhealthy products, including Takis, artificial junk snacks, chemically processed foods, and energy drinks.
  • Food that requires an adult to handle it instead of the minipreneur.

04 / Plan your stand

Your stand tells your story.

Running a business is about presentation, too. Think through these five things:

  1. Name & idea

What is your business called, and what is your idea?

  2. Your brand

Plan your logo, colours, and signs.

  3. Your explanation

How will you explain your product to a customer?

  4. Look & feel

Think about how your stand will look and feel.

  5. Prices & money

Keep pricing simple. The minipreneur handles the money.

ONE LAST THING

Bring your ideas.Grow your confidence.

This market is about confidence, leadership, and creativity—not perfection. We want original thinking, cultural inspiration, and kids owning their ideas.
